Flying Squirrel!

Look at how cute that thing is? My friend’s parents had flying squirrel’s living in their cupboards and captured them in these fantastic photos (courtesy of my friend’s dad Jim). I love the food in the foreground and then that beautiful rare creature in the background. Makes me wish I had some in my cupboard ! :)

Snow snow snow

Well, January has sure been snowy! It is really intense, it just keeps coming. I took these pictures a few days ago and it is snowing again today and the house is now almost completely buried. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the cameras hooked up for a while. I have more than a year’s worth of stills that I have (still ! ) been editing into a longer video of a complete year. Did I mention I had a baby? He is 7 months old now, so I have been a little slow getting back on track, but I am determined to finish this video in the next few months. In the meantime, I am starting a new related project for a show I am having at Wave Hill next year! I will be blogging about that for a while and then will come back to “Let the Outside In” to share updates and the final video.

Fox!!

I always wanted to see a fox back here! This was a really exciting thing to see. I love foxes, little cat dogs. They are so beautiful. All the activity has been at night these days, so lots of black and white pics of these animals.

You can see in this picture that the front trim of the house has finally fallen away….I think I built it too well, it is decaying so slowly!!

Beautiful fall colors…this little squirrel is hiding some nuts inside the house for the winter. I love it.

I love it when animals climb the house! Never had a bunny climb it before!

This really gave me pause when I first downloaded it from the camera! It looks so much like a backwards deer?!!
